Oro Facial Pain

Chronic Oro Facial Pain can be due to a variety of causes.

Causes include:

1. Dental
2. Oral: Burning mouth syndrome, Oral ulceration (e.g. aphthous stomatitis, erosive oral lichen planus, etc.), Oral cancer.
3. Persistent idiopathic facial pain (atypical facial pain) and Atypical odontalgia
4. Neuropathic pain includes Trigeminal neuralgia, Glossopharyngeal neuralgia, Mental nerve neuralgia.
5. Headache: Migraine (atypical and typical), Cluster headache, Tension Type Headache
6. Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), Eagle syndrome
